fursaxa

"...following Fursaxa’s role as part of The Valerie Project, a live soundtrack for the 1970 Czech film "Valerie and her Week of Wonders", Tara enjoyed playing with a number of musicians so much she enlisted their help for her new album, Mycorrhizae Realm...Greg Weeks, Mary Lattimore, and Helena Espvall, all fellow Valerians, feature here. Greg recorded the album at his studio; Mary contributes harp on 4 of the tracks found here as well as co-writing ‘Well Of Tuhala’ and ‘Charlote’; and Helena contributes cello on ‘Poplar Moon’, ‘Celosia’ and ‘Ode To Goliards’. It is an exercise in symbiosis." atp

anahita

"Anahita is Tara Burke (Fursaxa) and cellist Helena Espvall (Espers). Tara recently showed up on Important as part of the duo of Tau Emerald with Sharron Kraus while Helena contributed a beautiful piece to the James Blackshaw currated Garden Of Forking Paths compilation. Anahita is a beautiful, laboriously created and floating affair of skeletal organ drones, ceremonial singing and subtly frantic instrumental accompaniment conjuring up a natural woodland romp and stomp.
The album was recorded between 2005 and 2008. All tracks were recorded on a 4 track by Tara and Helena in their homes." important

sepviva bells

"Duo recordings by Tara Burke (Fursaxa, Anahita, Tau Emerald) and Grant Acker (Slurp Dogs), smoking one late-period Un/early Fursaxa style. A scorching blend of distorted psychedelia, hypnotic riffing and mellow vocals trapped inside a very trippy atmosphere. Edition of 170 copies with silkscreened fold-out booklet." sloow tapes

anahita - arcana en cantos (deserted village, 2006 cd-r)

"This is the first release from the duo of Tara Burke (Fursaxa) and cellist Helena Espvall-Santorleri. It's three tracks will sound familiar to Fursaxa fans but the cello and extra female vocals provide more undertows to the slow whirl. The art is a luscious painting by Helena's husband Paul. "

Anahita; Antigua divinidad alada femenina irania.
