recuerdo cuando vladimir nos sorprendía con 'calm in trees', un regalo muy muy especial que inauguraba 'a window open'. hoy es 'harvest' de nuestro querido Günter Schlienz, con cariño para los micrófonos. y es preciosa. de cuando la expresión 'ir por el aire' se queda infradiminuta. esa eterna sensación de estar acariciando las notas sin llegar a tocarlas... más no puedo decir, tan sólo gracias por formar parte de este compilado primaveral. "I started to work on 'harvest' last autumn, and as always this time around the year i was thrown back a bit to childhood memories. grow up on a farm to which belonged lots of vines. the harvest time for the grapes was a highlight for me as a kid, lots of people around which helped, everybody was in a good mood and very talkative. so it was definitely a highlight, but always a bit overshadowed by melancholy, because you knew that the harsh winter was just around the corner. so with this track i've tried to capture this special mixture of my feelings in those days. ok, it's not that much a story for some spring mix tape! actually i thought about to rename it because of this, but i can't. for me this track will always be connected with this concept, so i decided to keep the name."  günter schlienz 

el resto de canciones tienen, casi todas, una característica común: suenan bajitas, brumosas, siguiendo la estela de aquella insólita cosecha del inframundo que brotaba con fuerza en el 2009 (baja fidelidad, alta emotividad) y daba sus últimos coletazos en el 2011. quería centrarme sólo en ellas, pero al final, por suerte, hay tantas canciones que aparecen cada día que ha sido imposible. de vez en cuando se cuelan diálogos y fugaces momentos musicales arrancados de películas antiguas, sintonías,... buscando la inspiración en palmbomen II (ay) y en josh burke. pero sobre todo en muchas páginas, sellos y mixtapes que me hacen feliz: toys and tecniques (todos los mixtapes que ha ido subiendo a lo largo de los años están aquí, actualizados), voices of the silence, russian mind, dispokino (ojo a su sección 'tv ident of the month'), pattern & shape, a sound awareness, luzzzalig, waxwing arts, edições cn, gift tapes, the growing bin, pontone (spectral cassettes), dublab, the sum of your life, tabs out cassette podcast, continuo, y tantas y tantas. pelos de punta cuando escucho la sintonía de Ustad Ali Ahmed Hussain Khan & Pt. Ravi Shankar. gracias a Mark de unearthed in the atomic attic por regalarnos 'song of india' cuando ya casi había desfallecido... y gracias también a Kathleen por compartir las canciones de 'buru', el nuevo disco de Tropical Rock junto a Camilla Padgitt-Coles. imposible desligarlas de las imágenes: esa ranita durmiente... chin chin!

"Kane Pour is a composer/producer from Gainesville who currently lives in Pittsboro, NC. Pour’s music is an earthy, colorful, and eclectic twist of windswept guitar voyages and underwater video game lounge. he collaborates with Euglossine as the electronic duo Orchal and Vir, and in years past, released tapes with Jeff Astin as Tricorn and Queue."

"Kane Pour (Pospulenn, Tricorn and Queue, half of Orchal and Vir etc.) is readying his Elestial Sound solo debut, Hyper Pollen Temple  Kane's earlier solo projects laid in something more haunting, more dark-eyed. Songs like "Safe In The Ceder Alcove" and "Farther Twig and Grasshopper Song" off 2010's Sun People Sleepwalker sat near an encapsulating, delay-fed post-rock minimalism. flipped, his Housecraft Records release a year earlier, saw more nature-sewn textures. take it's first track "A1," a perpetual daze centered around what sounds like a rusted swing set; it's soft, lulled.  

but three years is a long ass time, man. the future is now and Kane Pour has re-emerged under a rising sun. Hyper Pollen Temple is his first full release to utilize sequenced beats and synthesizers. the first track off HPT, "Aquarium Pinball," embraces this new height of playfulness showcased in brief on Elestial Sound's 2013 compilation under his Pospulenn moniker." tiny mix tapes

hace tiempo que soñaba con un nuevo disco de Kane Pour, y aunque al principio me descolocó este cambio de estilo tan tan (si cierras los ojos jamás pensarías que es él), ahora, una vez superado el shock, sólo puedo decir que 'hyper pollen temple' es tan extrañamente bonito y tierno como esos discos para niños y plantas que hicieron Mort Garson y Raymond Scott en el pasado. ya no hay bruma, pero sí música colorida, fluida y grooveante como la portada, con canciones que van delimitando mejor la atmósfera que las envuelve y que al mismo tiempo pierden, pero sólo un poco, esa magia de diamante en bruto que tenía 'wand in the beak of the yellow bird. 'magic tortoise' (mmm..la tortuga mágica) comienza en pleno éxtasis de épica melódica. es música for freeways como la de FWY! pero con muchas filigranas melódicas. naif, saltarina y bonita a más no poder (daniela thompson se asoma a la puerta y se pone a bailar). 'wooden twin' me recuerda a The Sea and Cake, easy-listening, lounge, elegancia cristalina. 'aquarium pinball' es un viaje en submarino, library-magia al estilo de las bandas sonoras de los ochenta con atardeceres en sus portadas. 'ritmos secuenciados y sintetizadores' por aquí, sonidos de cajas de música después, organillos setenterísimos, lounge, easy listening, Giampero Boneschi, Alfonso Santisteban, no sé, guiños sutiles a cosas que nos gustan y nos asustan a partes iguales. suena 'frog puzzle box' y me rindo definitivamente. sus tres cintas anteriores siempre quedarán como una nítida fotografía de esa cosa que llamamos '2010 tape-scene nostalgia', pero 'hyper pollen temple' tiene ese 'algo' por el que vale la pena adaptarse al cambio: un carrusel de infinitos colores que Kane Pour conduce con maestría.
