de resistencia y ausencias. me parece un título precioso para la música de Emuul, treinta y dos minutos de vibraciones, de minimalismo e hipnotismo que te llevan a través de una espiral de inercia y gravedad, una fuerza centrífuga irresistible. música que simplemente me hace feliz y que me proporciona una sensación de paz más allá de toda explicación objetiva o razonada. son esas miles de pequeñas motas de polvo en suspensión que bailan dentro del haz de luz. la arquitectura del sonido en miniatura. serenade I & II de Hemosis ~aleatoric free form modular synthesis~ son dos sinfonías marcianas que se complementan a la perfección con la cara a. una melodía que se repite, un latido que se multiplica mecánicamente. abstracción y concreción. la música que te gustaría escuchar en un glacial. o en la cima de una montaña helada. un split mínimo y silencioso. infinita y simple magia.

qué cinta tan tan bonita. cuando una cinta de cassette viene de la mano de Constellation Tatsu y en la misma hornada que Floating Gardens y Günter Schlienz, no voy a ocultarlo, sé casi a ciencia cierta que me va a gustar, pero no podía imaginarme cuánto. ahora mismo no existe nada tan delicado, cálido y minimal como 'free structures' de Emuul, otro de esos discos susurrados más que tocados. un recitado de notas que parecen guitarras flotando sobre un colchón mullidísimo de teclados y que duran un suspiro. tan íntimo y silencioso como 'no matter how close' de Marble Sky. tan hermoso como una aurora boreal, 'esas misteriosas cortinas de luces brillantes que serpentean sobre el cielo estrellado de las regiones polares', tan azul, inerte y acogedor como la cueva submarina de Chris Moody. escuchando con suma atención 'an empty measure', percibo las mismas vibraciones ~ ¿será un sintetizador modular?~ de 'through the music to the self' de Günter Schlienz y su forma de reducir el sonido a lo mínimo permitido. una caricia. pero lo que hace de verdad especial a Emuul es la manera de sintetizar todas esas referencias, como un resumen soñado, acentuando ese ambiente mágico y de ensueño que también poseen 'fervent pictures', 'canary morning' y 'prism entrance' de Reedbeds y 'conversations with myself' de Jefre Cantu-Ledesma. sinuoso y submarino por igual.
