sean mcdonald

"a tackle both gentle, and harsh. not a push in the right direction, because there is no direction. no path, just presense. mind was altered at birth. oh, and do i say mmm? yes, all the time. behind either tears or laughter, it's all that remains. a calm, a calamity,  and then
all there ever was.
here"

recorded using all voice, with the exception of a handful of samples.

"follow up (check up) to my feelings after recording the first "tales". in need of constant reminders? sometimes.  and then you remember all there ever was, again

recorded using all voice in a woods house outside of gainesville, florida."

deep magic

"A delicate nuance of organic phrasing; Alex Gray has been churning out a mysteriously attractive and impressive ambient catalogue for the past few years. 2012 has been relatively silent for the project, until now. Housecraft is proud to present Deep Magic's first vinyl edition. All new, all now. Full color jackets, stamped white labels. Mastered by Sean McCann." housecraft

g. sweems / tricorn & queue

"from a great distance, Kaisha King makes her debut sonic utterance and we're more than pleased to have her on board. 'Red Delicious' features a collaboration with guitar nuances and related stereo play via Xiphiidae. Kane Pour and Jeffry Astin bring the familiar/unfamiliar embellishment of never ever ending harmonic/melodic spreads stretching just beyond seen horizons pulling from the old, now not-so-dusted T&Q toolbox." housecraft

peyote cristal / euglossine

"ong-awaited collaboration between Adam of Sacred Phrases/Dry Valleys and Grant Evans (Quiet Evenings, Nova Scotian Arms, Crippling). twisted channels straight to/from subconscious networks employing a myriad of mysterious and organic elements conjure a streaming dark/vivid/nostalgic and, of course, psychedelic state of mind."

"Tristan Whitehill represents/maintains a unique facet of Gainesville, FL sound. following up his debut solo release on Rotifer, 'Floridian Abstract' digs deep into new fidelities. complexities never outweigh aesthetic charm and restraint but the abstract and articulate muscles flex hard. much heart, much sweat. warm and welcoming vignettes all around."

peat raamur

"Rotifer-founder David Toro's moniker Peat Raamur has been circulating material for the past couple of years via his own label alongside Housecraft and Cloud Valley. while Toro's discography may not be the most expansive, the project has managed to conjure and establish sounds that veil their own definition. while one could speculate that a guitar and/or keyboard is used, the coating of analog sewage renders the image so blurry that those instruments couldn't be confirmed.

Currants travels down a path where a bouncy melody is reduced to a gargle as it cycles back and forth, varying in speed and harmony. perhaps the title references the myriad of paths taken during these 33 minutes. Currants marks an instance of beautiful progression for Peat Raamur, dwelling within similarly cavernous surroundings, yet acquiring the ambition to enter new dimensions... not only does this little tape characterize and hone a new sound, but it also stirs anticipation for future releases." carter mullin (reedbeds)

"v"

"High altitude glass ceiling echoes over low canopy woodland daze via wind, string, and buried vox. Perfect for misty morning tent warp and disappearing acts. And there's a bonus track this time around." housecraft

"The barest music can sometimes be the most beautiful. Just like Meursault last year, "V" delivers something truly exceptional from what seems at first to be very little. There are rippling pools of sweet melody here, with spaces in between to absorb the effects and the surrounding harmonies. It doesn't take long for you to be silenced by this delightful music." noiseisafriend

second family band

"it's a dirty new age and we are set in our ways. ingest these two crunchy jams." second family band

"the first side, "taking cloud mountain", has some steady tribal style drumming, using the pulse as a nice means of keeping things moving along without overtly grabbing onto any cliched sound sources. second side's called "return of the native", and this time around the band opt for some darker territories while still tending the same field of drumming pulses and synth riffery..." ear conditioned nightmare

"Clay Ruby of Davenport / Burial Hex. A mix of Davenport's clattering percussion and primitive synth pulsing. " boa melody bar
