creation VI

"Creation VI is an ambient/drone project for Ukrainian sound artist Tim Six, started in 2006. the main aim of the project is to discover the properties of music as a tool for expressing nonverbal concepts. the first such notions arise in philosophy, mysticism and of course, in all kind of creativity. power of ambience is practically inexhaustible, so every aspect in which there is a need of musical thinking, finds its particular expression. so the music of Cretion VI may vary from dark and ritual ambiences to weightless, transparent drones.

"Paleolith" was inspired by archaic music practices. album will be released in october by dronarivm as limited edition cassette. you can pre-order it now for special price."

free your energy field.

serfs

"...'Sha La La - La Later On' presents two distinct sides of the Serfs spectrum. The first, a glossy sparse web of clean ringing guitar reminiscent of Loren Connors. Emotional without ever becoming melodramatic. It closes out with a wonderful cover of Jerry Garcia's 'Love Scene' from the Zabriskie Point soundtrack. The flip side is the grittier side of things - pure burned-out live works. The guitar has more growl, the recording more hiss. This side closes with another cover, this time as a duo with Beach Fuzz's Tom Settle, ringing out a ten minute all-over-the-place version of Curtis Mayfield's 'People Get Ready'. In an edition of 50 tapes in cardstock sleeves with an insert." cabin floor esoterica

"Despite its sunny sing-along title and the fact that it features covers of songs by Jerry Garcia and Curtis Mayfield, Jon Collin’s latest album of ambient-guitar music under the name Surfs is a pretty lonely and lackadaisical affair. Rather than using significant atmospherics or looping, Collin relies on a completely clean electric guitar and an empty room to create a beautiful and singular work... Great end of summer transitioning tunes. Purchase this, and the rest of Cabin Floor Esoterica’s gorgeously packaged new batch, direct from the label." zen effects

sons of noel and adrian

"Sons of Noel and Adrian grew up in the midlands with many like-minded musical folk. A couple of years ago they moved to Brighton to gather more legs and are now a fully formed outfit with sometimes as many as ten members or as few as five..." wilkommen

"The Rivers ep is a collection of dark songs that explore three very differing concepts through a single shared metaphor, which occurred to songwriter Jacob Richardson after spending "three gruelling days in the hottest sun fishing with Jack on the wrong side of the river". Opener and live favourite Black Side of the River came directly from this experience. The theme is continued through the powerful second track Big, Bad, Bold, which explores the concept of "the inner strength of a woman", finally Leaving Mary's Hand brings the ep to a close as Richardson contemplates "a state of love and trust". Rivers is available on 7” vinyl, digital and limited edition cd typeset and pressed by hand by Brighton based letterpress and book artist Anna Fewster." altsounds
